Karin Geuijen was appointed Chair of the Supervisory Board in December 2020. Dr Geuijen is Assistant Professor of public management at Utrecht University.

Her research interest focuses on experimental collaborative governance, specifically in the domain of forced migration studies. ​Currently, she co-leads the Horizon 2020 funded research program Welcoming Spaces which aims to answer the question of how to contribute to the revitalisation of shrinking areas in the EU while also offering a welcoming space for non-EU migrants to pursue their life projects. Prior to this, she was a member of the evaluation team of the Utrecht Refugee Launch Pad: an innovation in the reception of asylum seekers. ​
